Who are the Joneses?

Hi! We are Jennifer and Nick.

We got married in May 2008, after dating through high school and college. We are lucky enough to both work at our college alma mater. Nick works in admissions, and I work in publications. I also have my own Etsy shop.

We had our first baby girl on February 27, 2012. Her name is Kate and we think she is pretty perfect 🙂

And this is Lucy. We may love her just a little.

We began building our house in August 2010, and moved in the following January.

We have been busy since then, decorating, home improving, landscaping and otherwise making this house into our first home together.  This blog chronicles our adventures as we learn as we go!

  1. Hey Jennifer – Not much of a blogger, but love, love, love your site! The new light fixture over the bathtub is way cool, and I am totally impressed! After reading all of that, I went into your blog about giving birth to Kate. Thank you so much for sharing. We found out shortly after we were married, that I would not be able to have children, and I went through years of disappointment (as you can imagine). I know now it was God’s plan for us, and it is all good. But to be able to read not only your birthing experience, but also to read about your emotions that followed and the special bonding that you had during pregnancy was so precious to me. You definitely have a gift for telling a story, and I sincerely look forward to following all the twists and turns y’all encounter – even into the future when we are living in Missouri. God bless you and your dear family, and again, thank you! 🙂 Carol

    • Thank you for your sweet comment Carol, that means a lot to me. I am glad that you enjoyed reading about the birth experience. It is something that is not talked about very often and it really helps me to know that, even if its through the blog, someone “listened” and was interested. You are such an encouragement to me and you will be deeply missed once you make the permanent move to Missouri! 🙂
